Internships At Kinder Mind

Interns at Kinder Mind are seen as valuable members of our group. We understand that everyone comes to us with different learned experiences that make them who they are. We hope to facilitate an environment where you not only learn from us, but we have opportunities to learn from you!

"Social work competence is the ability to integrate and apply social work knowledge, values, and skills to practice situations in a purposeful, intentional, and professional manner to promote human and community well-being" (Council on Social Work Education, 2015).

What We Offer

Flexible Schedule

We know firsthand how challenging it can be to incorporate the time requirements of your practicum internship experience into your daily personal life and work life. We offer a completely flexible schedule that allows you to pick your days and hours of availability that comply with the weekly number of hours your school requires.

100% Remote

We offer a fully remote experience. We believe that technology offers us the opportunity to truly meet our clients where they are, both emotionally and environmentally. Our interns have the opportunity to meet with a diverse population of clients with various presenting problem form many diversities across several states.

Fully Supported

Our support structure of your internship experience includes an interactive portal, a work supervisor who you will meet with weekly and as needed, and a site supervisor. Everyone on our team is available to you to provide support towards your education, growth, and clinical experience from our President to your work supervisor.

There are several expectations that we have of our providers and interns that must be honored in order to ensure that this is a healthy, productive work space for all. While we offer a flexible schedule; we do not tell you when to work, we expect interns to set a schedule and stick to that schedule. We understand that things can come up that are out of our control and we are flexible to this, as long as communication with your supervisor is clear and timely.
